Development of Flexible Triboelectric Generators Based on Patterned Conductive Textile and PDMS Layers

A triboelectric generator (TEG) is a simple coupling combined with triboelectrification and electrostatic induction, which can convert mechanical energy into electrical have the potential for self-powered device application. In this study, TEGs are fabricated consisting of conductive textile (CT) layer (a fabric woven polyester stainless steel) polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) layer. The CT friction also used as electrode designed various surface morphologies, including unpatterned, dots, lines 1 2 cm spacings. Experimental results show that TEG an unpatterned produces output voltage 54.6 V current 5.46 µA. patterned surfaces increase effective contact area effect between PDMS layers hence enhance to 94.4 9.44 Compared layer, pattern use spaced lines, dots improves by 1.73, 1.68, 1.24 times, respectively. Moreover, generates high power density 181.9 mW/m2.
